There’s a couple of ways you can log a delay in your schedule:
By extending an existing task's duration:
- Select the affected task: Click on the task experiencing the issue.
- Navigate to the plan tab in the side panel
- Enter delay details:
- Extend the task's duration by the number of days it has been delayed.
- If the task is within 2 weeks from the lock line, you will be prompted to select a reason for variance. Choose a reason from the dropdown (e.g., weather, labor, material shortage) or enter a custom note.
- Confirm delay: Click “Save.” The task will shift on the timeline, and linked tasks will update accordingly.
📊 Delays are automatically logged in your variance reports and visible in the Lookahead view.
By adding a one of task:
- Add a one off task: Click on the plus button and place a one off task where you want to add the delay.
- Edit task type: In the side panel, add your task details and select "Delay" from the task type dropdown menu.
- Click 'Add Task': You’ll find this option in the task details panel.
