Build custom phases without predefined tasks for flexible, non-takt planning.

🧼 Blank Canvas Phases in InTakt

Sometimes work doesn’t follow a strict takt rhythm—or you want flexibility for custom planning. The Blank Canvas feature allows you to create a freeform phase where you can manually build tasks from scratch.

🎨 How to Create a Blank Canvas Phase

  1. Open Takt Settings
      • Navigate to your schedule’s settings.
  1. Add a New Phase
      • Name it something like Blank Phase or use your own label.
      • Copy floor or area labels from another phase if desired.
  1. Enable Blank Canvas
      • Check the “Blank Canvas” option to create the phase with no predefined tasks.
  1. Save the Phase
      • You’ll now see a completely empty phase ready for custom scheduling.

🧱 Building Tasks from Scratch

  • Add tasks individually—name, duration, and color are fully customizable.
  • Create any logic links: within the phase or to other phases.
  • Ideal for:
    • One-off work items
    • Punch list or handover scopes
    • Temporary activities not on the master takt train

🎯 Why Use Blank Canvas?

  • Supports non-takt work without disrupting your main rhythm.
  • Great for design scopes, closeout, or recovery planning.
  • Gives teams creative control for planning outside the box.
