🔁 Duplicate Relationships
🎯 Purpose
The Duplicate Relationships feature allows users to quickly apply the same task relationship—like a predecessor with lag—across an entire phase. It significantly reduces repetitive clicks and ensures consistent sequencing logic throughout recurring work patterns.
✅ Key Capabilities
1. Adding a Relationship
- Users can manually create a relationship (e.g., finish-to-start with lag) between two tasks as usual.
- Once created, that relationship appears as a connector in the schedule and affects downstream timing.
2. Duplicating a Relationship Across a Phase
- After creating a relationship, click the
⋮(three dots) next to it.
- Select "Duplicate through phase" to apply that same logic (including lag) to all matching tasks within the same phase.
- The system will automatically identify corresponding tasks in other takt wagons and apply the relationship.
3. Removing a Duplicated Relationship
- To undo, click the
⋮on any instance of the relationship and choose "Remove from phase."
- This removes all instances of that specific relationship pattern across the phase in one action.
🚀 Why It Matters
- Speed: Apply complex dependencies across dozens of tasks in seconds.
- Consistency: Ensure your takt plan logic is uniform, reducing risk of sequencing errors.
- Flexibility: Quickly iterate and adapt your plan without rebuilding relationships task by task.
💡 Best Practices
- Use duplication when you have standardized handoffs (e.g., framing → drywall) that repeat every takt cycle.
- Validate one relationship first before duplicating to catch any logic or lag errors early.
- Combine with the phase zoom view to easily review and manage your duplicated dependencies.
