Reverse Sequence Task Flow

Create task flows that move in reverse through zones when needed.

🔄 Reversing Task Sequences in InTakt

Reversing task logic allows you to flip the directional flow of tasks across zones—ideal when your project sequence needs to move in the opposite direction (e.g., bottom-up instead of top-down) without re-creating the plan.

🔧 How to Reverse the Sequence for a Task

  1. Open Takt Settings
    1. Tap on a task and go to Task Properties.

  1. Enable Reverse Sequence
    1. Toggle “Reverse task sequence” under the Reverse section.

This will flip the task's direction through the zones.

Note: Reversing the task sequence will affect all task nodes of the selected tasks across all zones.

Your changes take effect immediately—tasks will now flow in the reversed zone order.

🖼️ Bulk Reversing from the Schedule View

  1. Use the Marquee Tool or Cmd/CTRL + Click to select multiple tasks.
  1. Tap the Info tab of the bulk editor.
  1. Toggle Reverse Task Sequence to apply changes across all selected tasks.

This makes flipping logic for large groups fast and consistent.

🔁 Reordering Zones Instead

If you prefer to maintain original task logic but reverse how zones are ordered:

  1. Go to Takt Settings.
  1. Reorder the zones (e.g., move “Stairs” before “Floor 2”).
  1. Save the changes.
      • 📌 InTakt will auto-back up your plan since this is a major change.

This reverses overall project direction while keeping tasks intact.

🔒 What Happens with In-Progress Work?

If a task has recorded progress:

  • Tasks already completed or in progress will not be affected when reversing sequence.
  • Only upcoming tasks will flip direction.
  • The lock line protects active work and preserves your current field progress.

This feature gives you flexibility to adjust plan direction mid-project while maintaining takt integrity and field data. Great for projects transitioning between zones or building wings with differing flows.
