🛠 How to Get Started with InTakt
Welcome to InTakt! Here’s a quick guide to help you create your first project and start planning right away.
1. Create Your Account
- Go to my.intakt.app
- Click Sign Up
- Enter your email and set a password
- You'll be taken to the Project Dashboard
2. Create a Project
- Click + New Project
- Name your project (e.g., “Hotel Build”)
- Choose a Start Date
- Click Next
3. Set Up Your Schedule
- Add Phases (e.g., Interior Buildout)
- Add Areas (e.g., Floor 1, Floor 2)
- Define Zones within each area (e.g., Zone A, B, C, D)
- Copy zones or areas to save time
4. Add Tasks
- Add tasks to each zone manually or paste from another project
- Customize:
- Task names
- Colors
- Durations
- Work days
- Define your takt period (rhythm of work units)
5. Upload Floor Plans
- Go to the Area Map
- Upload PDFs or individual drawing files
- Assign drawings to floors
- Drag and shape zones directly on each floor plan
7. Visualize Your Schedule
- Use Schedule View to see task flow by phase and zone
- Use Zoom controls for flexible navigation
- Toggle between Weekly Work Plan and overall schedule views
7. Work Plan & Subtasks
- Add Standard Subtasks to automate weekly work plans
- Customize Checklists for pre-task or post-task checks
- Use Work Plan View to track task completion or exceptions
- Adjust tasks per week as needed without affecting the full plan
8. Export & Share
- Export your project as:
- Excel
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Share with stakeholders or print zone maps
💡 Tips
- Tasks are automatically color-coded and linked
- Subtasks repeat weekly unless exceptions are added
- Tags and filters make it easy to focus on specific scopes or trades
- You can copy zones and tasks across floors for repetitive layouts
